With this piece there is so much detail in the stone it is difficult to picture the stone because of the shine. The last picture shows the detail through the stone by shining a light through. I have Wire Wrapped this Pendant and added three Swarvoski Crystals as an accent. I like to design my Jewellery with as much of the back of the Stone uncovered as possible that way you can rub the stone between your fingers whilst wearing it.
The cabochon measures 4.7cm long x 2.7cm mm wide. The Sterling Silver around the Cabochon makes the Pendant 6.5 long
I find it amazing that such beautiful stones come from our planet the colours are so beautiful. Within this stone you can see areas of Druzy crystals ~(what is it you ask) – Druzy is crystal-covered rock. Tiny quartz crystals form on the surface or within the cavities of other rocks. Like a geode, such crystals often form on the inside of a stand-alone stone. When cracked open, a geode reveals crystals on the inside. When the crystals are small they look like a coating of glittering stardust.
